Hung Exhibition

Detached is a series created during a period of deep depression and emotional isolation. Each work explores how casual sex, dating apps, and fleeting connections became a coping mechanism, offering brief comfort but often leaving a deeper sense of detachment. The subjects are based on real images sent to the artist through gay chat apps, transformed into layered fabric compositions that hang loosely, shifting with the air. The hand-painted, sewn fabrics reflect vulnerability and fragmentation, while the act of making became a self-soothing ritual during a time of personal recovery.
